As Predicted: China Eats Our Lunch

Within one year, the number of broadband users in China will eclipse those in the United States. It's already a close race, with around 46 million broadband users in China this year, compared to the 50 million or so in the US. However, the China market is growing, and estimates place the number of broadband users in China at around 79 million by the end of 2007. That's pretty impressive growth, and it will only continue to grow. And broadband is just the beginning. China is poised to eventually have the largest online population as well.

Here are a few of the top web properties in China:
Sina.com, Sohu.com, Baidu.com

If you aren't already paying attention to what's happening online in China, start now.
